Cindy Totten attended Bergen Community College, in Paramus, New Jersey, where she earned an Associate of Science degree in Retail Merchandising. Cindy then went on to Fairleigh Dickson University, in Teaneck, New Jersey, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management.


Among several affiliations, Cindy is a member of the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA), the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Employer’s Group and the California Chamber of Commerce.

PROFESSIONAL HISTORY:


Cindy is an experienced Trainer and Senior Human Resources Generalist with over eighteen years of experience in Organizational Training and Development, Management of various levels employees, Recruiting, Staffing and Customer Service Operations within the consumer, business, industrial electronics, and manufacturing and distribution industries.


Cindy previously worked for the Panasonic Corporation as their Senior Human Resources Generalist in the areas of recruitment, management and training for 18 years. Cindy was responsible for tactical and strategic aspects of recruitment, employee relations, training and organizational development and communications nationwide.


Cindy was involved in designing, developing and facilitating training programs for all personnel up to and including senior/executive level staff members. Cindy’s ability to be able to align Human Resources policies and programs to meet the organizations mission and business objectives made her a valuable asset. Cindy’s knowledge and understanding of current employment laws coupled with Human Resources “best practices”, assisted her in proactively reaching effective resolutions to the issue(s) at hand.


Cindy reported directly under the Western Region Human Resources Manager for Panasonic. Cindy was the primary point of contact for over 15 division companies within the Panasonic Corporation of North America. During her employment with Panasonic, Cindy would conduct Sexual Harassment Training for all Western Region employees within the various divisions and affiliate companies of Panasonic.

Cindy was responsible for ensuring all employees within their region were trained on all relevant federal, state and local employment laws as required. As a training manager, Cindy developed and conducted “train-the-trainer” programs for Panasonic as well as appointed key Human Resources staff. Cindy enjoyed traveling for Panasonic, where she was responsible for “cross-training” international trainers in Japan, in order to incorporate similar training programs abroad.
