Mariel S. Mulet, Esq.-Corporate Trainer, appointed to Compliance Training Group, a division of Diversified Risk Management.
Ms. Mulet obtained her Law Degree, from the National University of Rosario, School of Law, in Argentina. Her travels brought her to California, where she attended the University of Southern California and obtained her Master of Arts Degree. Ms. Mulet studied International Relations, International Law, U.S.-Latin America Foreign Policy, International Political Economy and International Trade and Finances. In 2000, Ms. Mulet was admitted to the California State Bar Association, with expertise in Employment Law.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
Ms. Mulet possesses over eight years of experience handling employment cases in internal, judicial and administrative settings and in consulting clients on employment law and human resources issues. In particular, she worked for almost six years with Epstein Becker & Green, P.C., as Employment Counsel for the defense in a variety of industries, including entertainment, manufacturing, retail, hospitality and restaurant industries, where she gained thorough experience on several topics from harassment, discrimination, reasonable accommodations, and wage and hour to unfair competition among others.
Throughout her career, Ms. Mulet has presented numerous trainings, including California AB1825, to supervisory and non-supervisory personnel on various topics, such as employment law, supervisory skills, investigations, progressive discipline, diversity and others, in both English and Spanish. Ms. Mulet has always enjoyed educating the workforce of her clients and her presentations are very well received. In addition, and sometimes as a consequence of her trainings, she has proactively established key collaborative relationships with all levels of employees, resolving complex employee relations issues effectively and identifying broader opportunities for long term success.
Ms. Mulet is fluent in Spanish, English and French. Ms. Mulet is not only a qualified presenter, but possesses very dynamic communication skills, has strong organizational and management skills, is goal oriented, and has an extensive experience in working with individuals from very diverse backgrounds.
Ms. Mulet specializes in conducting California AB 1825 Sexual Harassment Awareness Training, drafting and reviewing company policies, conducting internal investigations and identifying key HR initiatives to maximize compliance.
Ms. Mulet is an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management and the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
