Shaheen Brown, Corporate Trainer

CURRICULUM VITAE
Shaheen Brown possesses over fifteen years of experience in the field of education. In 2004, Ms. Brown graduated from California State University Dominguez Hills with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a minor in Psychology.
Ms. Brown continued her education at California State University Dominguez Hills and earned her Master of Arts degree in Sociology.
Shaheen is not only an experienced and qualified presenter, but has been instrumental in researching and developing our online curriculum for modules such as Diversity Awareness Training, Conflict Resolution Awareness Training, Violence in the Workplace Awareness Training, Team Building Training and Substance Abuse Awareness Training.
Ms. Brown possesses very dynamic communication skills, has strong organizational and management skills, is goal oriented, and has extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
PROFESSIONAL HISTORY
In addition to her academic and professional accomplishments, Ms. Brown worked as an educator with Compton Unified School District for more than five years. Ms. Brown taught at multiple grade levels and was responsible for classroom management, planning, development, and implementation of lesson plans.
Ms. Brown previously provided intensive, one-on-one and group tutoring for inner-city school students in reading literacy and math. Shaheen maintained and input records of exams, and also assisted in vital data collection and organization of the students’ daily progress.
Ms. Brown was a member of AmeriCorps National Community Service from 1998-2002. As a member, she dedicated over 1,000 hours in national service to tutoring and mentoring inner-city students. During her tenure at California State University, Dominguez Hills, Ms. Brown was a member of Alpha Kappa Delta, a Sociology Honor Society, and was also a member of the Dean’s Honor Roll from 2002-2004.
