Workplace Training
Overview
Diversity in the workplace is a powder keg, because in recent years so much attention is placed on understanding cultural diversity. Compliance training group will focus on how to avoid a law suit, and address the differences in the workplace. Employers should be well aware of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
Training
The focus of the training is to help employers and employees understand how cultural differences in the workplace can affect work performance, and overall morale. In any culture there will be differences. How these differences affect the workplace is critical. We all have our own biases, it is no secret. However, hiding these biases or remaining unaware of them can lead to serious problems in the workplace.
The focus then is on the following;
- Hiring and firing
- Compensation, assignment, or classification of employees
- Transfer, promotion, layoff, or recall
- Job advertisement
- Recruitment
- Testing
- Use of company facilities
- Training and apprenticeship
- Fringe benefits
- Pay, retirement plans, and disability leave
- Other terms and conditions of employment
